4:14 — Too Hurried And Heartsore To Think Of Time

Back then we were so fast—
there was no need for wings or wheels
or green lights. Everything was go!
The sun came and went, days blurred
into stop-motion watercolors—
soft, bittersweet, indefinable edges.
